My stay at the hotel was wonderful! The rooms were spacious and had 2 kingsize beds, a TV, and a fantastic coffee machine that I highly recommend. We were here for my niece's wedding, which the hotel organized perfectly. The indoor swimming pool and spa were a hit with the kids, adding to the enjoyment of our stay. The room's modern decor made it feel cozy and comfortable, plus it was spotlessly clean.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms were large, decorated in a modern style, and very homely and comfortable. The modern coffee maker and abundance of tea, coffee pods, hot chocolate, and biscuits added a nice touch to the experience. Everything was very clean and comfortable.
Service
8.0
The staff was really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. However, there were some hiccups when trying to locate and have a dress we left behind posted to us. Despite this, their overall service was commendable.
Location
9.0
The location was excellent for exploring the area. We had a brilliant walk along part of Hadrian's wall, visited a Roman fort, and explored the lovely small town of Hexham. The beautiful views and peaceful atmosphere added to the charm of the location.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs. While the food was excellent with a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes, there were some issues such as the lack of mint sauce and delays in serving. Additionally, the meal seemed unsatisfactory due to a cold dish and the absence of spoons to serve the vegetables.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel had great facilities, including an indoor swimming pool and spa that the kids absolutely loved. However, there were some concerns about poor lighting in certain areas like the bar, reception, and corridors.

The hotel offers lovely rooms decorated beautifully, and the main hotel is luxurious with fantastic views over the countryside. However, there were issues with tired and shabby furnishings, indicating a need for maintenance and updates. The pricing may not fully align with the overall quality observed during the stay.

Rooms

The room had a lovely TV room, separate kitchen area, and a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, all beautifully decorated. However, there were several issues with torn bedding and curtains, rust in the bath, and cracked cups.

Some staff members seemed distracted, but Duncan at reception and Mary in the restaurant were very helpful and friendly.

The location offered fantastic views and a sense of peace, ideal for relaxing walks. However, noise from nearby events could disturb the tranquility of the surroundings, impacting the quality of sleep.

The facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay, though improvements in maintenance could enhance the overall experience.

The hotel offers beautifully decorated, spacious rooms that are very comfortable and equipped with lovely amenities. However, there were some issues affecting the overall experience. The location is friendly and welcoming, but noise disruptions occurred during the stay. The dining experience was under average, not matching the high standard of the rest of the hotel. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel provides self-service options and delicious homemade cakes for guests.
